If you are ever in the university city of Freiburg, you must wander through the markets right outside the Münster. Stalls filled with beautiful flowers, delicious baked goods, handmade wooden toys and organic fruits and vegetables line the exterior of the famous church and are perfect for exploring on a sunny day.

A right of passage of the markets is to delight your tastebuds with a bratwurst or currywurst in a fresh bread roll. Cafés in the Munsterplatz can be pricey so take a seat on the statue steps outside the Münster, listen to the organs ring from inside the spectacular building and munch on the local produce.
